PRESTONE REFUSES OUTRIGHT INVITATION TO RETURN TO CONGRESS

HEADLINES

Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Prestone Tynsong has said that come what may, he shall not return to Congress after he has left the party. He also said that he has clearly and outrightly refused the invitation from the newly-appointed MPCC President to return to the Congress party.

While talking to mediapersons, Prestone Tynsong said that the whole country has seen what Congress has done to itself. The internal fighting in the party has caused many divisions and the examples of which can be seen in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and other states. He further stated that the Congress party is a divided party and now the leaders of Congress in the state and even in Delhi too are caught in a mess.

The newly-appointed MPCC President, Shri Vincent H Pala has made it his mission to bring back all the former leaders of the party who have left to join other political parties.

On being asked about his views on the invitation of Pala, the NPP MLA said that it is the duty of Pala as party President to call and invite people to join his party and the same would be done by any other leader.
