Shillong: Over hundreds of people, from across the city came in grief today to pay their last respects to young Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai at her residence in Nongrah Nonglum on Tuesday.
The sombre gathering saw men, women, youth and even children joining in mourning, many carrying placards demanding justice for Insaphira’s death and urging strict punishment for those involved.
It maybe mentioned, Insaphira went missing from her home on September 14, and to the shock of the community, her body was found a day after inside an under-construction house.
