Shillong, September 30, 2025: The Central Puja Committee (CPC), Meghalaya, successfully organized the Late Shiv Kumar Agarwala Memorial Drum Beat (Dhak) Competition on Maha Ashtami at the Sarojini Naidu Girls Upper Primary Secondary School, R & R Colony, Shillong. The event was hosted by the R & R Colony Saroiyo Utsav Samity and witnessed participation from 12 Durga Puja Committees across the city.

The Running Trophy for hosting was awarded to R & R Colony Saroiyo Utsav Samity, while the Group Category Running Trophy went to Rilbong Durga Puja Committee.
The event was graced by CPC President Naba Bhattacharjee, CPC General Secretary Ananga Mohon Paul, Competition Chairman Kalyan Das, Convenor Shekar Nag, alongside Ajay Agarwala and other senior members of the CPC and R & R Puja Committee. Senior citizens, community leaders, and local residents turned out in large numbers to celebrate the festive spirit.
