SHILLONG, May 16: A shoddy job done as revealed by the forces of nature in the construction of the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in Mawïong, has made a majority of people express their concerns as the building had just began operating in April this year even though it was inaugurated by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah in July last year.
The President of the BJP in Meghalaya, Ernest Mawrie questioned as to how the building was beginning to show signs of cracking, while stating that if the contractors involved in the construction of the building could not follow the prescribed regulations and if they could not do a good job then they should be blacklisted.
At the same time he also said that the shoddy job in the construction of the building cannot be blamed only on the contractors but the department incharge of supervising the construction should have taken action against this shoddy job done.
