The Meghalaya Minister for Education, Shri Rakkam A Sangma, announced that the state government aims to commence classes at the Capt. WA Sangma State University in 2025.
Speaking today, Shri Rakkam stated that initial courses will be offered in subjects like Humanities, Arts, and Science, with plans to expand to other disciplines in the coming years.
He further mentioned that the university will admit students from across the country, while providing special reservations for students from Meghalaya.
The Capt. WA Sangma State University will be Meghalaya’s first state university since the state was formed over 50 years ago.
