Pynthorumkhrah MLA and Cabinet Minister, Bah Alexander Laloo Hek, called a meeting on Thursday with engineers from the PWD (Roads) department to address the urgent need for repairs on the severely deteriorated Mawpat road.
Residents and commuters have long complained about the poor condition of the road, which falls under the Pynthorumkhrah constituency, making daily travel difficult.
Following multiple complaints, Bah Hek summoned the Chief Engineer, Executive Engineer of Shillong Central Division, and Executive Engineer of the Bypass Division to discuss immediate repair measures for the Mawpat road.
