Shillong: Powell Sohkhlet, EM and MDC of Mawthadraishan Constituency, has urged the public to keep former KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Shemborlang Rynjah in their prayers as he battles health issues, hoping for his speedy recovery.
Speaking during a felicitation programme for newly elected CEM Winston Tony Lyngdoh, Sohkhlet described Rynjah as a hardworking leader deeply committed to his duties, noting that he continued to serve despite ill health.
At the same time, Sohkhlet extended his best wishes to the new CEM, Winston Tony Lyngdoh, MDC of Nongthymmai, who assumed office unopposed on Tuesday in the presence of Opposition MDCs led by Titosstarwell Chyne. He wished Lyngdoh good health and strength to serve the Council, the state, and the people.
