Shillong is set to host internationally acclaimed Polish guitarist, composer and producer Marcin on August 12, 2026, at the Lariti Performing Centre, Mawkasiang as part of the Marcin – Art of Guitar Tour 2026.
Presented by Jameson Connects and Foreword Lifestyle and Experiences LLP, the concert marks Marcin’s debut performance in India and is expected to attract musicians, guitarists, students and music lovers from across Meghalaya and the Northeast.
Known for his unique fingerstyle technique and percussive acoustic performances, Marcin is signed to Sony Classical, has over 500 million YouTube views, more than 4.2 million Instagram followers, and has performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Expressing his excitement, Marcin said he has always received immense love from Indian audiences online and is looking forward to performing live for them for the first time.
The tour will also feature The Great Indian Riff Off, a nationwide search for undiscovered guitar talent, with one winner earning the opportunity to open for Marcin during the tour.
The Government of Meghalaya has welcomed the event, describing it as another milestone in strengthening Shillong’s identity as one of India’s leading music destinations.
