Shillong: PHE Minister Marcuise N. Marak on Saturday expressed gratitude to God and Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma for retaining him in the cabinet after the recent reshuffle that saw eight ministers dropped.
Marak said his long-standing loyalty to the NPP since its inception, coupled with perseverance through challenges and his obedience as a party worker, had helped him remain in the cabinet. He pledged to work harder in his ministerial role moving forward.
Acknowledging the coalition nature of the MDA government, Marcuise stressed the importance of maintaining balance and coordination among partners from different parties. While noting that some may have felt disheartened after being dropped, he added that they have since accepted the decision and are content.
