Shillong Police recovered stolen goods on Sunday night in connection with a case registered at Rynjah Police Station. The stolen items were found at Saw Furlong, with officers from Nongmensong Outpost promptly responding to the scene.
According to East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Sylvester Nongtnger, police discovered a six-wheeler truck with the number AS01CC 3985, loaded with stolen materials. The recovered items included 10 units of Beam Web Assembly, 32 Shuttering Jacks, a mobile phone, and a SIM card.
Additionally, a taxi (ML 05K 7554) connected to the case was also seized.
In a separate case registered at Sadar Police Station, police recovered a vehicle from Imphal, Manipur. The case involved a complaint against Mohammad Fareed, who allegedly forced the complainant to act as a guarantor for a Maruti Suzuki Eeco 5 STR without disclosing that the vehicle would be registered in the complainant’s name, leading to a debt.
Following a thorough investigation, the vehicle was traced and returned to Shillong.
