Shillong: Tourists will soon get an opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of India’s tallest plunge waterfall, Nohkalikai Falls in Sohra, after the completion of a ₹38 crore project to construct a viewpoint.
The ₹38 crore allocation is aimed at beautification works and the development of tourist facilities, with a key focus on creating infrastructure that will allow visitors to get a clearer and more immersive view of Nohkalikai Falls from top to bottom.
Sohra MLA Gavin Miguel Mylliem said the tendering process for the project is already underway after funding was sanctioned in November last year under the PM DevINE scheme supported by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
The project is part of the ₹300 crore Integrated Sohra Tourism Circuit initiative.
