Shillong: Students of Christian Academy Higher Secondary School, Shillong, have once again excelled in the SSLC examination conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE). In the results declared today, all 87 students who appeared from the school passed, with two of them securing places in the Top 20 merit list.
Expressing her joy over the achievement, the school’s Principal, Miss F. Chyne, said she was delighted that the school had achieved a 100 per cent pass percentage.
She said that the school does not encourage the use of guidebooks and instead places emphasis on textbooks as the primary source of learning. According to her, even from the pre-board examinations onwards, students are consistently encouraged to study from their prescribed textbooks rather than depending on guidebooks or other supplementary materials.
“The school does not rely on guidebooks or help books,” the Principal said.
She further stated that the school had expected its students to reach this milestone, especially the two students who made it to the Top 20, while all 87 students successfully cleared the examination.
