SHILLONG, April 14: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma has upheld that it is the former Government which did not include the villages that want to be a part of Meghalaya in the report of 2011.
The Chief Minister also showed the map which he received from the report to a few media persons today, and the assertion of Sangma is in response to the allegation of the leader of the Opposition, Dr.Mukul Sangma who is also a former Chief Minister of Meghalaya, that the present Chief Minister is always agreeable to all the wishes of Assam.
Conrad Kongkal Sangma said that the few villages were not included because of Dr.Mukul, while also stating that the preparation of the report at that time was not done properly leading to many villages in the interstate border area from being included in Meghalaya, and the present Government can no longer do anything about it and to put the blame on the present Government now is not appropriate.
