Nongpoh, May 31: The Khasi Department of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya,USTM today organised a cultural awareness programme for the students on the value of Khasi courtesy and manners and also on the importance to retain the traditional attires which the ancestors have left behind.
The programme was held today the 31st of May,2022 at Umdihar Presbyterian Secondary School, Ri-Bhoi District in which many students and faculty members of the University participated.
The awareness programme was specifically held with an objective to teach students right from the time that they are studying to know about manners and courtesy as well as to respect and honour traditional attires in their everyday lives and on the other hand for the school students of Ri-Bhoi District area to be aware that manners and courtesy are the most important assets in this day and age whether at home or away from home.
