Pratima Bhoumik, the Union Minister of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry on the 27th of September,2022 handed over a few support equipments for persons with disabilities in a meeting organised by the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
The programme was attended by the Commissioner of the Social Welfare, Pravin Bakshi, Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities,Sabrella B.Marak, Deputy Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities, Bridget Warshinh and Prabhakant Tripathi, Store and Purchase Officer and Dr.Shivraj Bhimte, Assistant Professor Speech Hearing and Sign Language Communication Bank from NEIPMD to promote Sign Languages initiated by the NIEPMD Chennai, and the Officer-in-charge of the CRC, Shillong, Ram Shakal Sahani and the employees of this department.
