SHILLONG, June 15: The Working President of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Titosstarwell Chyne informed that the party has really geared up for the upcoming election in 2023, and he also said that in many constituencies candidates have already been finalised.
He said that the UDP at present has already got candidates for 29 constituencies and in the first week of July it will try to announce the names of the candidates in the first phase.
Chyne also assured that all the sitting MLAs and MDCs of the UDP will contest the Assembly Election, and he further stated that there are also other MLAs from other parties who have expressed a desire to contest the election from the UDP.
The leader of the UDP has also clearly stated that not a single MLA of the party will exit the party and contest the election from other parties, however, MLAs from other parties such as the Congress,AITC have been in talks with the UDP to contest the election from the party, but he refused to reveal their names by stating that the time is too soon.
