The United Democratic Party (UDP) announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming MDC elections on Friday.
The party has announced 26 candidates in the first list to contest in the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) and the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC). The announcement was made during a General Meeting held at the UDP Executive Office in the presence of office bearers and supporters.
However, the candidate for the Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh constituency, currently represented by incumbent MDC Ryngkat Lyndem is yet to be announced.
