Shillong: In an unfortunate incident, two siblings minors buried alive in landslide at Nongstoiñ on Saturday morning.
The two minors who lost their lives due to landslide were girls aged 10 and 15 years.
The landslide occurred at around 4:30 am today.
The incident is said to have occurred in Mawiong-Pyndengrei, Nongstoin due to heavy rainfall.
The deceased girls were kids of Alexander Lyngdoh Nonglait (Father) and Beautiful Nongsiej (Mother). The body of the two were taken to Nongstoiñ Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the West Khasi Hills Police have asked people of the area to avoid these roads & areas in Nongstoin area in view of flood and strong water current:
1. From Nondien to Maiawban which is flooded at Pampor, Nondien.
2. District Council towards St Joseph Hospital
