SHILLONG, March 14: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya,Conrad Kongkal Sangma said that it is necessary for any Government to present a ready vision for the future.
After the Chief Minister presented the Budget for the year 2022-23, upto 32 MLAs stood up to discuss on the Budget in the Assembly.
Responding to the discussion on the Budget, Sangma said that this Budget presented by the Government speaks of the vision of the Government.
As per the statement of the Chief Minister, the Government has set a goal for Meghalaya to become one of the states in the top 10 developed states of the country, based on the per capita GDP and sustainable development goals.
The Chief Minister said that Meghalaya is presently ranked at no.5 from the bottom with regards to per capita GDP and no.10 from the bottom with regards to sustainable development goals.
He said that the Government has to work hard in order to actualise the aim it has set for itself.
