One person suspected of being a drug peddler known as Hubert Paliar, 24 years of age and who claims to be a resident of Mawïong Pyndengrei, Nongstoiñ, today the 27th of April, 2022 was caught by the Anti Narcotic Task Force of Nongstoiñ after information was received that he is involved in supplying drugs all over Nongstoiñ.
This person was arrested from Khlieh Ïew Nongstoiñ and after a search was conducted, from his possession was seized about 2 grams of what is suspected to be heroin, packed in two boxes of golden tobacco and also in vials.
In the search were also present O.Massar, DSP, Crime Nongstoiñ, E.Sungoh, OC Nongstoiñ Police Station, A Warjri, SI, Nongstoiñ Police Station, residents and public who came to witness the arrest.
It was also said that the police had been watching the movements of this person for some time and today evening, following a reliable information, they set out a trap and finally arrested him.
The police have also ascertained that there are others involved in this kind of illegal activity and soon they will be arrested with the cooperation of the intelligence department, the local village adminstration, the VDP and others.
The suspected drug peddler has been arrested and taken to the Police Station to conduct further investigation and he has been booked under the NDPS Act.
