
Shillong, September 13: The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Metbah Lyngdoh warned stern action against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA from Gambegre, Saleng A Sangma if he continues to use unparliamentary language in the Assembly.
On the second day of the Autumn Session, the Speaker ordered for the removal of the unparliamentary language used by Saleng A Sangma while participating in the discussion on the conditions of the roads and traffic congestion and the lack of adherence to traffic rules in Shillong and Tura.
Metbah Lyngdoh said that this is the first time that the member (Saleng) has used unparliamentary language in the Assembly, and he had to also order for the removal of the speech of the MLA spoken during the period.
