Shillong: The Riwar Mihngi Development Council (RMDC) has demanded the state government to pay ex-gratia to the families of the two victims of Rngaiñ Landslide.
The RMDC president, Sinophil B Tariang and Secretary-General, Dmuising Khongjirem on Thursday met the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Pynursla to submit their demands, also urging the government official to speeded up the process in ex-gratia payment.
The two victims are identified as Krejunelang Khongjirem and Seiborlang Jaktung. The two were crushed under huge boulders triggered by a landslide at Rngaiñ area under Pynursla Sub Division on April 14.
