Chennai: PRIME Meghalaya proudly represented the state at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025, leading a vibrant delegation of 10 entrepreneurs who showcased Meghalaya’s growing startup ecosystem across diverse sectors — from technology and textiles to handicrafts, health, manufacturing, and tourism.
Organised by StartupTN, the summit gathered over 30,000 attendees, 750+ startups, and 100+ investors, serving as South India’s largest innovation and entrepreneurship platform. It brought together global investors, policymakers, and innovators to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Under Meghalaya’s flagship entrepreneurship initiative, PRIME (Promotion and Incubation of Market-driven Enterprises), the delegation participated in exhibitions, B2B meetings, and cross-sector networking sessions, presenting a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation that defines Meghalaya’s entrepreneurial identity.
Speaking at the event, Smt. Saloni Verma, IAS, Executive Director of PRIME Meghalaya, said, “Our participation at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit demonstrates Meghalaya’s readiness to connect, collaborate, and compete on national and global platforms. PRIME is proud to enable our entrepreneurs to gain exposure, partnerships, and new market linkages.”
Among the participants, Rudolf Mawthoh, Co-founder of Solipsis, highlighted the immense value of the summit, saying, “Being here has helped me in ways I couldn’t imagine. Connecting with NVIDIA is a big win for us as a young startup. I’m thankful to PRIME Meghalaya for this opportunity.”
The showcased ventures reflected Meghalaya’s innovative spirit, with solutions ranging from sustainable handicrafts and eco-textiles to digital health technologies, smart manufacturing, and tech-driven tourism experiences. Their participation reinforces PRIME Meghalaya’s mission to empower local entrepreneurs and position the state as a hub for inclusive and sustainable enterprise.
Through such national platforms, PRIME continues to strengthen Meghalaya’s role in India’s wider startup landscape, building bridges of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange across states and industries.
