PRIME IGNITE 2026 Showcases Innovation, Boosts Meghalaya’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Shillong: Meghalaya marked World Creativity and Innovation Day with the hosting of PRIME IGNITE 2026 at Durbar Hall, Lok Bhavan, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators and officials to strengthen the State’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of the PRIME Annual Booklet, alongside recognition of contributors and winners of the PRIME Student Ambassador Contest. Students from the College of Community Science won the top prize, while Jaintia Eastern College secured the runner-up positions.

Addressing the event, Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh said the State is committed to supporting innovation from idea to market. Officials highlighted support extended to thousands of entrepreneurs through CM ELEVATE and PRIME initiatives.

The event also saw the launch of three digital platforms — PRIME DSPP, the Ekanbha website and the ONG YI delivery app — aimed at improving service delivery and market access for entrepreneurs.

Innovators also showcased solutions in technology, healthcare, tourism and creative sectors, underlining Meghalaya’s growing focus on innovation-led development.
