Shillong, Oct 9: A seven-year-old boy, identified as Kyrshanbor Kharmudai, went missing from Lummarboh Block-4, Nongrah, on Wednesday evening around 4 p.m., sparking an intensive search operation. Police personnel from Rynjah Police Station rushed to the locality to investigate the case after being alerted by the family and local authorities.
Kyrshanbor, an orphan, has been living under the care of his aunt, Sirilin, who has raised him since his mother’s passing. Despite efforts by villagers and family members to trace him, the boy could not be found. CCTV footage from the locality is being examined for possible clues about his disappearance.
Village head Dennis Lynrah informed that as soon as the news spread, residents, including women and youths, came out in large numbers to assist in the search. The search operations continued late into the night, till about 11 p.m., but the boy remains untraced.
