The Office of the District Child Protection Unit,West Khasi Hills District in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner,West Khasi Hills District and also the Office of the District Social Welfar Officer,West Khasi Hills District on the 29th of March organised a special awareness programme known also as the “Awareness Programme on Substance Abuse”.
In this programme, C.R Sangma, E.A.C, West Khasi Hills District was the Chief Guest and she was accompanied by N.Marweiñ, Vice Principal of Nongstoiñ College and also other officers including W.Shabong, District Child Protection Officer, West Khasi Hills District, V.War, District Social Welfare Officer, West Khasi Hills District.
The programme was held in the Conference Hall, Nongstoiñ College in Mawkhlam, Nongpyndeng and the programme was conducted by B.Kurbah, Protection Officer.
After the brief function, the awareness programme followed in which the experts from different government departments including the police department, health department, Childline, KRIPA and others.
