Shillong: The incumbent MDC of Nongthymmai, Latiplang Kharkongor, breathed his last on Thursday at Civil Hospital, Shillong.
It was reported that Kharkongor had been battling a long-term illness.
Kharkongor also served as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) from November 2019 until February 7, 2020.
