In an effort to empower the youth of Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh MLA, Bah Mayralborn Syiem, launched the “Inspire & Inform” project today. The two-month initiative aims to guide young people in preparing for various competitive exams while also spreading awareness on critical issues such as the National Education Policy, the dangers of drug abuse, and the prevention of child marriage.
Speaking at the event, Bah Mayralborn emphasized the importance of equipping the youth with the right skills and knowledge to tackle challenges in their education and personal lives. The program will involve visits to different villages across Ri Bhoi, where sessions will be conducted to educate the youth on these topics.
Sainkupar Syngkli, Managing Director of El Elyon Institute, which is partnering in the project, mentioned that the initiative will extend beyond the institute’s walls, reaching out to rural areas to share practical knowledge and coaching. Although the program may not replicate the full content of the institute’s curriculum, efforts will be made to ensure that 50 to 60 percent of the content is delivered to the communities.
The project seeks to address key issues affecting young people in the district, providing them with free educational support and guidance to help them succeed in their academic and professional journeys.
