Shillong: Minister for Community & Rural Development and Jirang MLA, Bah Sosthenes Sohtun, has expressed support for the introduction of goods train services in Meghalaya, stating that he has no objections to the project.
Speaking on Monday, Sohtun said that in his personal view, a goods train is essential and beneficial for the state. However, he stressed that matters related to road alignment and connectivity require broader consultation with all stakeholders before decisions are finalized.
