Shillong, September 12: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K.Sangma said that the State Government is awaiting the response from the Central Government on the resolution passed by the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on the implementation of the ILP.

Raising the matter for discussion in the zero hour, Mayralborn Syiem who is the suspended MLA of the Congress said that the demand to implement the ILP in Meghalaya is no. longer new, and the Legislative Assembly had also passed the resolution to demand the implementation of the ILP as per the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulations,1873.

He also put forward questions on the cause that is leading to the Indian Government in delaying the go ahead for the implementation of the ILP, the reason for ILP not being granted, or are there other excuses for the ILP not being granted, and he also urged the Indian Government to give the go ahead for the implementation of the ILP or to give the reasons if it does not intend to grant it.
