Shillong, August 27, 2024 – Mawhati MLA and MDC, Charles Marngar, who also serves as the President of the Managing Committee of Nongjri Presbyterian Secondary School, expressed immense joy after the school’s U-15 Boys’ team emerged as champions in the 63rd International Subroto Cup held in Bengaluru.
Charles Marngar congratulated the team for bringing honor to the school and the Ri-Bhoi District. He also extended his gratitude to the coach, team manager, and officials for their support and guidance. Marngar emphasized that this victory is not just a triumph for the school but a significant achievement for the entire district.
During a session in the Legislative Assembly, Marngar shared that he had informed the Chief Minister about the team’s return plans. In response, the Chief Minister arranged for the team of 23 members to return home by plane instead of train, ensuring a swift and comfortable journey back to the state.
