Shillong: A four-year-old child was reported missing on Sunday morning from Nongrah Nonglum Brei, East Khasi Hills. The incident occurred around 8 am when the child disappeared from the courtyard while other family members were still asleep.
Local residents, including members of the VDP, Seng Samla, and police, immediately launched search operations in nearby areas but by evening there were still no leads. Villagers said the child was last seen shortly after waking up. Michael Pyngrope, a resident, confirmed that the disappearance was noticed when family members failed to find the child at home.
Authorities have intensified efforts to trace the missing child, with the community extending full support to the search.
