A massive fire swept through Tura Bazaar early Wednesday morning, destroying over 17 shops. The blaze, which broke out around 2 a.m. near the old council building opposite CJ, ravaged businesses between the GHADC market complex and Tura Super Market.
The affected establishments include a pharmacy, several fast food joints, a shoe store, and multiple makeshift stalls. While the cause of the fire remains unclear, authorities have confirmed that the flames have been fully extinguished.
An assessment of the damages is currently underway. Vehicular movement in the area has resumed, but parking is still restricted along the affected stretch.
