SHILLONG, February 03: The Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Prestone Tynsong said that the youths should not misunderstand what it means to love one’s community. He said that love for one’s community,motherland,clan and family can be expressed in many ways and which do not involve bloodshed such as by strengthening and making oneself self-reliant and how to build one’s home and society from there on.
The statement was made by Tynsong after youths in their teenage years were found to have been involved in militant activities especially in the planting of a bomb in Khyndailad on the 30th of January.
Tynsong also said that the Government makes a request to all parents to take the responsibility to strengthen their children’s ability to understand that this path is not one that can lead them to the goal of expressing their love for their motherland or community especially since the new age has many challenges and therefore it is necessary to ensure that the youths are not led astray because in the end it leads to nothing but losses.
