The Assam Police today the 23rd of April stopped a road construction of Meghalaya in Lapangap village in West Jaiñtia Hills District. Due to this action of the Assam Police, members of the KSU, Lapangap unit stood firm and there ensued also an exchange of words between the President of the KSU, Lapangap unit, Augustan Timung and the Assam Police.

Lapangap village is situated in West Jaiñtia Hills District in the interstate border area with Assam, Karbi Anglong District.
