INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT REQUESTED DISPARSING TO FILE RTI ON GOVERNMENT VACANCIES IN THE STATE

HEADLINES

Shillong: Disparsing Rani said that the reason which led him to take the initiative in filing an RTI in every department of the state government is because a request was made to him by an intelligence department of the the Central Government to undertake this task.

Speaking with t7, Disparsing Rani said that as much as he can personally understand, the main reason which has made the intelligence department to request him to undertake this task is because there has been much worry in finding that though a small state, Meghalaya has instead so many vacancies which is not less than upto more than 3000 vacancies.

The question that arises now is what happens to the funds which has been specially allocated by Delhi but which is left largely unutilised and returned every year.

Therefore, after having filed the RTI, the reports may perhaps lead to the Meghalaya Government ending up with a black remark, however in order to find out all the facts, the intelligence department has no option but to turn to Rani to help them in gathering reports so that the same may be submitted to Delhi.

Besides that, Rani said that henceforth he will continue to seek or gather broad and detailed information from every government department by closely examining all vacancies and how many have been notified to the District Selection Committee or the DSC, to the MPSC and following this, he will prepare in filing an RTI on what is behind the delay in conducting written examinations.

In the end, Disparsing Rani will prepare for the submission of a complaint to the Office of the Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya for a complete clarification on all these incidences.
