Shillong: The government of Meghalaya on Monday has committed to go all out in a war-footing against the menace of drugs.
The minister incharge of social welfare, Paul Lyngdoh held a meeting with the concerned authorities to access on the drugs menace in the State.
From figures collected shows that the rate of addiction and the number of drug users has gone up from the last figures that were collected in 2019, informed Lyngdoh while speaking to reporters here on Monday.
The Minister also informed that seven districts in the State has been identified as hotspots where the incident of drug abuse has gone sky high.
