SHILLONG, January 24: The President of Meghalaya People’s Coal Traders Welfare Organisations, Franky Rymbai has said that starting from today, the organization of coal traders that has been newly formed will move ahead to fight against the problems faced by coal traders and he will also express the problems faced by the coal traders to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
He said that the formation of MPCTWO came after it was seen that many coal traders are not educated and ill-informed about the norms and regulations of the government which change from time to time.
Rymbai said that the first step for the organization is to see to the profit that coal trading can bring for the State and also the traders for the coal traders do not profit as much as they did in the past especially after the price of a challan has been constantly increasing from time to time.
Further, he has stated that the organization will express upon the public to not support the non-local traders who will buy their products from them and trade them to other States but they should allow the local traders first so that there is good economic growth.
Rymbai from his end has requested all coal traders to come forward and join them so that they can remove the obstacles faced by the traders.
