One man who stays in the locality of Themiïew and known as Tining John Nongsiej, at around 10:00 AM this morning while on his way to farming field was taken aback by the sight of an infant’s dead body.
It is said that when he found new soil on the field he shoved parts of it to find out what caused the soil to be in this manner, and while shoving away the soil he was shocked to find that under the soil was the dead body of an infant, and immediately informed Kynjai Thongni, the Headman of Themiïew locality which is close to the Nongstoiñ market.
The locality then informed the same to the police force and the police came and took the dead body under their custody for necessary formalities to be completed.
