JOWAI: A coal-laden truck overturned on National Highway 6 at Wahmynsoo, near the village of Mookyndur, on Monday, causing a major traffic disruption that lasted for six hours. The overturned truck blocked the road, which serves as a vital connection between Jowai and Shillong.
The coal being transported in the truck had reportedly been auctioned by Coal India Ltd. The incident caused a significant traffic jam, with vehicles stranded for hours on both sides of the road.
