Deputy Chief Minister incharge of Transport, Sniawbahalang Dhar on Tuesday said it is still too early to determine whether ethanol-blended petrol has any adverse impact on the wear and tear of vehicles.
Speaking to reporters, Dhar said the government has not received any complaints so far regarding the use of ethanol-blended fuel. He noted that authorities are closely monitoring the situation before drawing any conclusions on its long-term effects.
Dhar reiterated that the government will continue to monitor feedback from consumers and stakeholders before making any assessment on the fuel’s effect on vehicles.
