Churches Are Not Places to Chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’: KSP President

The President of the Kutumba Surakshya Parishad (KSP), Satya Ranjan Borah, has stated that churches are not appropriate places to chant “Jai Shri Ram.”

Emphasizing the need to respect all religions, Borah urged the public to uphold mutual respect and harmony among communities. He highlighted that every citizen in India has the right to worship, express their faith, and live peacefully, as the country values and respects all beliefs and traditions.

His remarks came in response to a recent incident at a church in Mawlynnong, where a tourist reportedly shouted “Jai Shri Ram” inside the premises.

Borah stressed that everyone must respect churches just as churches should respect temples, stating that mutual respect should not be one-sided.
