In a significant operation conducted on November 02, 2024, BSF Meghalaya, in collaboration with local police, apprehended an Indian woman with counterfeit currency along the International border under South West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.
Acting on specific information, a joint team of 193 Bn BSF and Meghalaya Police carried out a search operation in a house in Gumaghat area near the International border and recovered Fake Indian Currency notes having face value of Rs 70,000/- in denomination of Rs 500.
The apprehended woman and the seized FICN have been handed over to Ranikor Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
