Shillong, August 28, 2024: The Tour Operators Association of Meghalaya (TOAM) celebrated its 5th Foundation Day on August 27, 2024. The event was held in the presence of Bah Paul Lyngdoh, Hon’ble Tourism Minister, who attended as the Chief Guest, and Shri Cyril V D Diengdoh, IAS, Director of Tourism, who served as the Guest of Honor. The celebration also saw the participation of various government officials, tourism stakeholders, and representatives from different tourism associations.
As part of the day’s proceedings, the association held its Annual General Meeting for 2024, during which elections for new office bearers and executive members took place. The newly elected office bearers are as follows:
- President: Shri E. Banlumlang Blah
- Vice President: Shri John M. Wankhar
- General Secretary: Shri Gerald Samuel Duia
- Joint Secretary: Shri Kyrmenlang Shabong
- Treasurer: Shri Harshit Bawri
- Executive Member: Smt. Vanessa A Sangma
- Executive Member: Shri Jason Jarman Lamare
The association looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote and enhance tourism in Meghalaya under the guidance of the newly elected leadership.
