Jowai: In the recent days, a community of Himalayan griffon vultures were spotted at Wapung Shnong East Jaintia Hills District bu local residents.
Two weeks ago, T7News have reported the sighting of the same species of birds at Lad Demthring in the Jowai-Dawki highway.
As per the locals, the birds at Wapung Shnong were spotted on Wednesday, i.e April 26. The Wildlife department along with Biologists from Shillong have reached the area to keep tabs on the migratory birds. However, no official statement have came in till filing of this report as they were the same birds spotted at Lad Demthring.
