Shillong, September 05: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has announced that it will organise a public rally of 150 days or Bharat Jodo Yatra to be led by the leader of the party Rahul Gandhi from the 7th of this month.
The National Spokesperson of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Babeeta Sharma said that the public rally is to make the people understand the effect in the 8 years of the BJP Government, because in these years the hopes and aspirations of the public have been crushed, especially in the increase of prices of commodities, unemployment which was promised to be eradicated by the BJP.
The other matter which the Congress has taken up in this Yatra is over the lack of safety and security and the lack of unity amongst the citizens, because communal disharmony over small matters is brought in so that important matters such as inflation and financial crunch are ignored.
Babeeta Sharma said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will begin on the 7th of September from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu by the leader of the AICC, Rahul Gandhi and will culminate in Jammu & Kashmir, while stating that in the North East this will be taken up by the Pradesh Congress Committee on how to organise it in their respective states.
