The President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Vincent Pala said that there might have been a price fixed at a higher price with regards to the plan to construct a shopping mall at Them Ïew Mawlong after the residents have been relocated from the area because the Government intends to give out the plot to wealthy persons for the construction of the shopping mall.
On being queried about this allegation, Tynsong said that he is unaware of such a plan, however as it is at present, the Urban Affairs Department is preparing a blueprint on the design of the place.
He said that if Pala does not understand the procedure of taking over a plot of land, he is ready to meet with and explain to him the procedures followed by the Government in procuring the said land. He said that it is true that it is big agreement and a success.
