SHILLONG, August 01: The Working President of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Titosstarwell Chyne expressed his shock at the sudden exit of former MLA of Mawlai who is also the Chief Adviser of the UDP State Youth Wing, Embhahlang B.Syiemlieh, and informed that he had already given the advice to not take any hasty decisions because it is a matter that can be resolved.
He said that this is a party matter which can still be resolved, while also expressing hope of meeting and having a discussion to resolve the matter, and also expressed hope that Embhahlang Syiemlieh will be ready to come forward and resolve the matter within the party.
Titosstarwell Chyne who is the President of the UDP in East Khasi Hills District said that the exit of Embhahlang Syiemlieh will definitely have an impact because he exited along with the younger brother of the former MLA who is a leader of the UDP State Youth Wing, and added that when any leader exits if he/she had been a former MLA there will definitely be an impact.
On being queried about the reason for the exit, Titosstarwell Chyne said that the reason perhaps is related to the party matters in Mawlai Circle, perhaps there is a misunderstanding between the new office bearers who are the people of P.T Sawkmie and the former office bearers, and Embhahlang Syiemlieh might have been sidelined after arrangements were made for Sawkmie to contest on a UDP ticket from Mawlai.
