SHILLONG, June 30: The Director General of Police (DGP) of Meghalaya, Dr.Lajja Ram Bishnoi who inspected a few parts of Shillong, said that after thorough examination of the congestion in the two, the police department will express of the necessary requirements to the Government especially in implementing modern technology for the alleviation of the problems.
He said that as per the information he received, there are many challenges which includes the encroachment of the street vendors to the road, which then requires for the vehicles to move at a slow pace, and the other reason is the congestion in market areas and areas where schools are located. He said that the police department will suggest a few actions to ease congestion in a few areas.
