Nongpoh, July 11: One truck bearing registration number ML-11-8124 hit one Bolero Pick-up truck bearing registration number ML 10 0886 and after hitting the pick-up truck it hit another truck parked on the road bearing registration number UP-22 AT 1640 resulting in injuries to the occupants of these vehicles.
The accident occured on the National Highway 6 near Mawdiang-Um between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. The accident ensued as a result of the driver of the truck bearing registration number ML 11 8124 overspeeding and due to the heavy rain he could no lost control and hit one Bolero Pick-up truck and after hitting the pick-up truck it also also another truck parked on the side of the NH-6 leading to injuries of the occupants.
In this accident, 3 persons were injured which include Onanto Mahjhong, 21 years from Marngar Ri-Bhoi District, driver of the Bolero Pick-up truck,Bantei Kynjing,24 years from Ummulong who is the driver of the overspeeding truck, and Ravi Kumar,20 years from UP, the handyman of the parked truck. The 3 injured persons have been taken to Civil Hospital, Nongpoh for treatment and the investigation on the matter by the police is ongoing.
